Welcome to New Orleans ! Having arrived safely, the crew establishes our home base in what was formerly the youth worship center. In a few minutes we'll leave for our first gutting assignment.
It's pretty cool seeing my little girl actually working ... for real money. And she's got a car now to, well it will be her's when she pays us off. And going off on her own ... on dates and stuff. Not too crazy about that, but it's gotta happen sometime.
So my little girl is growing up. I still remember her standing there with a handful of tools, grinning up at me, wanting to help work on the car. Ahhh, those were the days. Simpler, easier, uncomplicated.
Oh well, life goes on, and things aren't so bad now. The ice cream is great too! :-) JK
Today was a great day!
How strange!
I'm really surprised at myself, but I just got mad at the manager of Bruster's Icecream here in little old Anderson, SC. She had the audacity to get angry with my little girl (not really so little, she's 16 now), because Amber had to ask for a change in her schedule due to her parents. In this case, I'm out of town and Renea's busy with our son.
Suddenly, the shoe is on the other person's foot! Usually I'm the one complaining about how teenager's don't seem to respect the workplace.
Of course, a manager can't schedule her worker's around the difficulties of a 16 year old! And yet, I'm still mad at her?
Go figure ...
OK! So, it's been a while, alright!
Yeah, I've been a bit delinquent with my posts. But I'm still here, still alive.
So, I thought, why not give it another whirl this year. So .... here we go again.
I'm gonna try posting as often as I can this year, and I plan to do more than just posting stuff for the kids. Although I do plan to continue doing that, kids.
Here's to a great year for all my loved ones and friends!
